31 Days to a Staged Home :: Day 17, The Foyer

Hi there!

I hope you are having a wonderful, autumnal day!

If it's your first time here, I suggest that you start on Day 1,

as each principle in this series through the end of October

builds on the next.

The foyer or entryway is where a prospective buyer 

will begin to base their first and permanent opinions about your property.

I can't stress enough the importance of helping a buyer

emotionally connect with your house so that they can see it as their HOME.

To the best of your ability (considering your budget and available props),

you are reminding buyers that it could be their home

by only bringing in beautiful but neutral items

 that will speak emotionally to many people.

To get them to emotionally connect with the property, buyers will need

to see it as a place that they'd be proud to own,

to enjoy the house's structure or view or natural assets,

to feel that it would be their safe haven from the stressful world,

to feel comfortable and relaxed,

to sense that it is a place where their family can happily live,

to see it as a place to share with the ones they love.
