Hello!
Welcome to Day 25!
If this is your first time to this series
and you'd like to start from Day 1,
Ah, the neglected laundry room,
where piles of clothes wait to be sorted, pre-treated, and washed,
where shelves and cabinets are filled with everything else
that we don't want to be stored in other rooms.
It's usually dusty, dank, and dark.
It's usually the last room that we think about staging,
but it is so very important to make every space worth living in,
so that a buyer can fall in love with your house and make it their home.
Laundry Room Staging:
- Assuming the laundry room is already clean, decluttered, and updated, and painted, now pare down your laundry products to one each of the detergent, fabric softener, spot treatment, etc. you use; keep them neatly in a basket on a shelf or face-forward at the edge inside the cabinet
- All dirty clothing needs to be in a covered container or hamper
Simple changes in this space will go a long way
to help buyers imagine themselves enjoying the caring for their clothes
in their new home.
Tomorrow?
See you then!
Q & A Day is the 31st, so ask away in the comments below.

How pretty.... Love love those large baskets over the w/d... and ummm.. How great to just paint over the border with Chalkboard paint..... I am excited about some changes here!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI can wait to see your garage and shed transformation...:)
ReplyDeleteI haven't had much time to follow along with your series but I was able to see this one about the laundry room, and you have me a good idea about how to dress up my laundry room once I am ready to make it over. Our house was built '73 and covered in wallpaper, even the laundry room! We removed the thick vinyl paper a long time ago but the walls are still covered in thick yellow paste. Ha! And the cabinets are ugly brown. But you have given me some good ideas when we are ready to work in it (oh, and we are lucky to have a window in there!!)
