See this pedestal bowl?
Isn't it lovely?
Maybe you have seen it already.
Maybe you have seen it already.
It was made by my friend, Kristi, at The Speckled Dog.
She lives here in Greenville, SC, too, and she and her also-talented husband,
came to our home for our Happy Holiday Hunting and Fondue Festivities Christmas Party.

Kristi shared a link on her Face Book wall when she listed this bowl in her shop
a few weeks ago.

I immediately bought it from her.
Because of snow and our schedules, we finally saw each other
(and went to an auction together) and I met my bowl!
It is ever-so-beautiful in person!
In my foyer.
Meanwhile, her post about this bowl was picked up all over blogland:

House of Hepworths featured it.
It was presented by Someday Crafts.
Tip Junkie spotlighted the bowl.
ohdeedoh loved it.
Singing with Birds sang about it.
Maybe you have seen it out and about?
Well, I saw it everywhere, too, and now it's in my house!

She has just finished up some handmade pedestal birdhouses.

I saw on Kristi's blog that you bought this bowl from her. It's GORGEOUS! LOVE IT! Looks beautiful with those hurricanes on your table!
ReplyDeleteI saw that on her blog, Leslie! Good for you for moving quickly on it! I have one similar to her other one she showed - it has more of a curve to the top portion rather than being straight {and I did mine in Heirloom White}. It's so versatile though; you can use it anywhere to hold anything. Mine is presently holding faux pomegranates on my kitchen table, but I like your nest.
ReplyDeleteHad not seen it but it's gorgeous. You must feel so special. You KNOW I'm loving the color. My nest would look great on something like this.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...here we go again. Can't rest with all this beautiful stuff you continue to dangle before my eyes. What kind of a friend are you?
A great one and I'm blessed.
(((Hugs)))
Dear Leslie, Congratulations on your new pedestal bowl. Love the sweet birdie eggs, too. Nice job! Susan
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie, Wow. . . what beautiful hand-made darlings you've shown in this post! I need to find this creative person who made these that lives in Greenville. Does she have a shop or a consignment spot where she markets her wares or just Etsy? I love each of these that you'e shown; superb taste! Isn't this weather just gorgeous right now in SC?
