Operation Simple Christmas Decorating :: Day 1

Decorating this year has gotten off to a slow start.
But, I am ready to get going.

So, today, I am working in the Music Room, Dining Room and Hallway.
This is how it looks at 9:00 this morning.

I have vacuumed and cleaned the carpet and cleared out all the stuff.

I haven't spent but $5 on some glittery ornaments from Wal-Mart,
I am only using what will be found somewhere within all these boxes!
(There are at least 12 boxes, you can't see them all. They are around the corner).

By the end of the day, I hope to post the afters.
Stay tuned.

I will remember Mary as I work in here today.

Have a wonderfully blessed, joyful and productive day making YOUR home!

  15. 12 boxes, huh. Now I don't feel so bad :) Can't wait to see the afters....I just love how a house looks all decked out for Christmas, even if it's simple. Especially if it's simple.

  16. EEK! I'm so excited to see the finished rooms! Lisa~

  17. I hope you had a productive day my friend! I'm sure it looks beautiful!

  18. CANNOT WAIT to see the after! Thanks so much for praying for my little family last week, Leslie! It was so nice to know that people were praying... it was a tough week!

    Have a great week!

  19. Well, I was gonna be REALLY impressed if you had your decor. up and posted about by last night. I think it took me a solid week to get mine all up and the boxes cleared out...I was culling through and getting rid of stuff I didn't like in the process. And Did I mention my four kids...and that I homeschool...what other excuses could I give for it taking me a week to get it done?

  20. Like you I am slow this year in decorating. Seems giving attention to people was more importantI love the red rooms! Every thing is going to be so festive. Your idea about pondering or thinking on Mary and folks in the beautiful never old story is so good! I am using it too!
