The Stories of A to Z
is having a linky party of last year's mantles.

I wanted to join in the fun!!
So here is last year's mantle:
I made the feather trees with thin cardboard rolled into a cone, and hot-glued in place.
Then I hot-glued feathers in layers to the cone.
Easy peasy!

I like simple.
And snowflakes are a great decor choice- they are appropriate all winter.
The snowflakes came from the Dollar Tree.
They have them again this year.
And these were the centerpieces for each table.
From Good Will: 50 cent glass hurricanes and 50 cent birds in $1.00 bag of "snow".
Brrrr......
I've got lots more to show you,
But this'll have to do for today!
So pretty!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Leslie. Absolutely gorgeous. You are SUCH a classy lady. No kidding. Susan
ReplyDeleteHow cute are the hurricanes with the little birdies? And those beautiful snowflakes. I love it!
ReplyDeleteYour mantle is gorgeous!! You gotta love the Dollar Tree!! The snowflakes are so pretty. I am so excited next year I will actually have a mantle to display!
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of the snowflakes, and the birds in snow. Very pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteLeslie, this look is beautiful. I like the simplicity of the white and red. Those feather trees are gorgeous, you did a great job making them. How cool that you have simple shelves to store your beautiful collection of classic white dishes, the snowflakes really make the display sparkle.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to get to see your spaces. I love the feather trees and well everything. But I must ask, where do you find snow for $1.00?? I am heading wherever it is:)
ReplyDeleteI love the cafe decorations. and the feather tree is way sweet :)

Love,Love,Love the feather trees!!!
ReplyDeleteSo now I'm singing "O Tannenbaum." Of course. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your mantel from last year! I can't believe you made those feather trees--where did you get the feathers? Such a great idea!
And of course I love your cafe. That was the very first post of yours that I ever read! Then I started looking around. . . and I've been here ever since! :)
Oh how I love that pop of red on your mantel! It just makes me happy! My house is already starting to get decorated but mostly because it takes so long around these parts. :-) Can't wait to see what you come up with this year!
ReplyDeleteVanessa
I am going to make those centerpieces, I am telling you, I am going to make them!! They are too cute. Pray for me that I may find those prices of yours.
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty Leslie! I had a bit of a panic attack when i thought you had already started decorating. Because I am no where near read. I'm still making placecards for Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda jealous of those mercury glass trees. Are they from Craker Barrell? My bff has one from there. Funny, when I told her how much I liked it, she didn't offer to give it to me. Maybe I should rethink our friendship (just kidding, of course)
