Sunday Serenity

Each Sunday, I will feature a picture taken by one of my daughters,
and some words of faith, hope, and love given by our Father:

Your eye is a lamp,
lighting up your whole body.

If you live wide-eyed in wonder and belief,
your body fills up with light.

If you live squinty-eyed in greed and distrust,
your body is a dank cellar.

Keep your eyes open,
your lamp burning,
so you don't get musty and murky.

Keep your life as well-lighted as your best-lighted room.

Luke 11:35-36

  1. Found this the other day:

Proverbs 20:20 He who curses his father or his mother, his lamp will go out in the time of darkness.

Woo, we need our lamps and our lights! I thought of that verse when I read your post.

    Great pic!

Thank you, too, for the encouragement. I'm glad to have made you a bloggy friend!

    Blessings today,

  7. Love both the verse and the eye!

I've been on a vacation/blogcation and am just responding to emails. I think I've taken this vacation a bit too far but thank you for the kind words!

I don't know if you've been to Popcorn lately but I'm having a giveaway to and I'd love for you to enter.

  9. I love this and you. Beautiful eye my precious girl.

  10. Excellent! I love the visual of the wide eyed wonder (which makes me think of a child) and squinty eyes in contrast.

Hope that kitchen is coming along well!

Thank you for coming by and for sharing your heart and thoughts with me!
